Mediplex Sejong Hospital and Bucheon Sejong Hospital under the Hyewon Medical Foundation were listed as one of the Top 100 best hospitals in Korea in the general hospital sector by Newsweek USA, a global weekly magazine, for 2 consecutive years, demonstrating once again that the hospitals are one of the best general hospitals in Korea.

This evaluation was commissioned to Statista, a German global market statistics group, by Newsweek and conducted for 4 months from October 2019 to January 2020 based on recommendation by medical professionals (domestic country 50%, foreign country 5%, 55% in total), patient satisfaction (15%), medical performance indicators (30%) etc. and best hospitals were selected and announced.

In particular, Mediplex Sejong Hospital, which was opened in March 2017 solidified its position as it ranked No. 1 among private general hospitals in 2020 following 2019. It is the only medical institution that has been opened for less than 5 years among hospitals in the top rank. Mediplex Sejong Hospital is a general hospital specialized in cardio and cerebrovascular disease treatment and boasts an optimized response system for infectious disease.

The hospital secured the largest negative pressure wards (13) and has been detecting patients with infectious disease through access control in emergency care area and patient classification area. In addition, the standard hospital room is 4-person room and the only single room system in Korea was established by installing glass wall between hospital beds to prevent spread of infection among patients.

Bucheon Sejong Hospital, which is a parent of Mediplex Sejong Hospital, is the only hospital specialized in cardiovascular treatment in Korea designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. About 300,000 patients with heart disease visit Bucheon Sejong Hospital every year.

It was demonstrated that the hospital has the world-class patient safety system and medical service system by passing the 3^rd cycle certification of the US Joint Commission International for the first time as a general hospital and has maintained international standard of care.
